Training aims to improve contract use

NEC, the organisation behind a suite of construction contracts, is offering a series of training courses to help new and established users.

The courses focus on the NEC3 suite of contracts, which cover both the procurement of works, services and goods across all stages of a project lifecycle, from planning, design and project management to construction, maintenance and facilities management.

NEC says its training is designed to help new NEC3 users make a time and cost-effective switch from other forms of contracts and to enhance the knowledge of existing users.

Courses are on offer at introductory, intermediate and advanced levels and full details can be found here.

Alongside training, users of NEC and other contracts may find it helpful to have access to legal advisors experienced in construction contract issues.

At Palmers, we can advise on any changes to NEC, JCT or standard form contracts and assist in the drafting of bespoke contracts and advice and other commercial agreements, such as collateral warranties and guarantees. For more information, please contact Adam Davis
